Work Environment

Located in the vibrant and picturesque city of Charlottesville, our outpatient office provides a supportive and collaborative working environment. The role requires full-time onsite engagement, where you will interact closely with patients and your colleagues. Our work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic while addressing the needs of our patients effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and identify the goals and needs of each patient, tailoring therapeutic interventions accordingly.
• Manage a patient caseload with an emphasis on individualized care, typically seeing one patient per hour.
• Provide hands-on treatment and rehabilitation techniques that enhance mobility and functional performance.
• Implement cost-effective, non-surgical treatment strategies to minimize medication reliance among patients.
• Develop comprehensive care plans utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities.
• Design and customize fitness and wellness programs that align with specific patient needs and goals.
• Inspire and motivate patients throughout their recovery journey to optimize their overall functioning.
• Promote healthy lifestyle choices by improving strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care.
• Evaluate treatment effectiveness, monitor progress, and maintain clear communication with patients and team members.
• Document all services and progress meticulously to support patient care continuity.

Qualifications

• Successfully obtained a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree.
• Currently licensed to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• No documented board actions or disciplinary actions against your license.
• Demonstrated strong manual therapy skills and a comprehensive understanding of movement science.
• Ability to develop and implement effective exercise regimens tailored to individual patient needs.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software, particularly WebPT, ensuring efficient documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience as a Physical Therapist in an orthopedic outpatient setting.
• Proven track record of creating innovative treatment plans that have led to successful patient outcomes.
• Experience using evidence-based practices to guide treatment methodologies.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role ranges from $90,000 to $110,000 annually, reflecting the experience and skill set of the candidate.
