Work Environment

The Physical Therapist will work full-time on-site in our outpatient office located in Charlottesville, utilizing state-of-the-art facilities and resources. The work schedule consists of Monday through Friday shifts totaling 40 hours per week. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians to develop personalized treatment plans that aim to restore function and alleviate pain.
• Design and implement treatment programs for a diverse range of conditions, including orthopedic injuries, neurological disorders, pediatric needs, and sports medicine cases.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to ensure that treatments are effective, measurable, and aligned with the prescribed plan of care.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service—building rapport with patients and their families to support their recovery journey.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes, participating in case discussions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide education and training to patients and their caregivers to empower them in achieving their rehabilitation goals.
• Meet specified utilization and productivity metrics while contributing to the overall clinic performance.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic serves a diverse patient population, treating individuals from various backgrounds and with distinct health challenges. Primarily focusing on outpatient care, you will have the opportunity to work with patients recovering from surgeries, those managing chronic illnesses, athletes, and children with developmental or physical challenges. This diversity enriches the professional experience and enhances the therapeutic process.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active State License to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.
• Proficient in using electronic healthcare records and related software for documentation and patient management.
• Ability to establish strong therapeutic relationships with patients to facilitate successful outcomes.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience working in an outpatient physical therapy setting.
• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is preferred.
• Prior experience treating diverse populations, particularly in areas of orthopedics and sports medicine, is advantageous.
• Current CPR certification.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
