Adventist Physical Health Rehabilitation is inviting applications for a dedicated full-time Physical Therapist to join our orthopedic outpatient practice in Charlottesville, VA. About the Organization

At Adventist Physical Health Rehabilitation, we are committed to delivering exceptional patient-centered care within a state-of-the-art 5,000 square feet sports medicine facility. Our practice is home to a skilled team that includes two physical therapists and one Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), all focused on creating positive outcomes for our patients. We primarily serve individuals covered by private medical insurance, ensuring that our services are accessible to those who need it most.

Work Environment

This position is based onsite in our modern outpatient office located in the vibrant community of Charlottesville, Virginia. You'll enjoy a full-time schedule from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life routine. As part of our collaborative team, you'll engage with healthcare providers across various specialties, promoting an integrated approach to patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and identify the unique goals and needs of each patient, tailoring your treatment plans accordingly.
• Manage a patient load of one individual per hour, ensuring that each patient receives focused and personalized attention.
• Utilize your prior experience in orthopedic outpatient care to deliver high-quality, evidence-based treatments.
• Implement cost-effective therapies aimed at improving mobility while minimizing dependence on medications.
• Develop comprehensive care plans utilizing a mix of therapeutic techniques, incorporating patient feedback and clinical insights.
• Adapt fitness and wellness programs to meet the specific needs of your patients, enhancing their strength, flexibility, and overall function.
• Motivate and guide patients throughout their treatment journey to optimize their recovery and performance.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment outcomes meticulously, ensuring compliance with best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary team members to ensure holistic patient care and continuity of treatment.
• Monitor patient progress, evaluate treatment effects, and maintain open lines of communication for ongoing support.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The successful candidate will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, those seeking preventive care, or individuals needing rehabilitation following surgeries. Your role will involve customizing treatment programs for each individual, fostering a sense of empowerment in their recovery process while addressing their specific needs and lifestyle goals.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree or equivalent qualification.
• Licensure as a Physical Therapist in Charlottesville, VA, with no board or disciplinary actions against your license.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and the development of effective exercise routines.
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) software, specifically WebPT, is preferred for efficient documentation and tracking of patient care.

• Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly valued, enabling you to relate better to our patient's unique needs.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
