Work Environment

The ideal candidate will work onsite, conveniently located in Charlottesville, VA, within a state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility that promotes a supportive atmosphere for both staff and patients. Our designated work hours are from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a healthy work-life balance. As part of a close-knit team, you will engage in meaningful collaboration with your colleagues to provide exceptional physical therapy services.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to identify their unique goals and requirements, tailoring treatment plans to meet their specific needs.
• Manage a manageable caseload of one patient per hour, providing focused attention and individualized care.
• Implement evidence-based treatment protocols that improve clients' range of motion and mobility while minimizing medication reliance and exploring alternatives to surgical procedures.
• Develop comprehensive care plans that may include various therapeutic techniques and exercise modalities.
• Motivate and educate patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, encouraging them to actively participate in their recovery.
• Design personalized fitness and wellness programs that promote strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination based on patient evaluation.
• Document patient evaluations, treatment findings, and progress to ensure clarity of communication and continuity of care.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to develop eclectic treatment strategies, ensuring holistic patient care.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment interventions and adjust plans as necessary to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with outpatient orthopedic patients, which may include individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and other musculoskeletal conditions. This role involves interacting with a diverse demographic, motivated to restore their physical capabilities and return to an active lifestyle.

Qualifications

• Possess a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Hold an active and valid physical therapy license in Virginia.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to professional integrity, with no history of disciplinary actions against your license.
• Exhibit proficiency in manual therapy techniques and a solid understanding of exercise prescription.
• Comfortable using EMR software, specifically WebPT, for patient documentation and care tracking.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting, which is considered a strong asset for this role.
• Familiarity with current rehabilitation modalities and protocols that demonstrate positive patient outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits
