Work Environment

This position is located in beautiful Charlottesville, Virginia, known for its vibrant cultural scene and picturesque surroundings. As part of a dynamic team that includes two physical therapists and one Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you will enjoy working in an environment that values collaboration and innovation. Your engagement in onsite home care will allow you to work directly with patients in various settings, ensuring they receive the highest level of personalized service.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and identify patients' individual goals and rehabilitation needs through comprehensive evaluations.
• Manage a caseload efficiently, typically seeing one patient per hour, to deliver focused and effective treatment.
• Utilize your expertise in orthopedic physical therapy to provide evidence-based interventions and enhance range of motion and mobility.
• Develop individualized care plans incorporating diverse therapeutic methods and exercise protocols tailored to each patient's unique needs.
• Educate patients on alternatives to medication and invasive surgical procedures, empowering them to actively participate in their recovery journey.
• Motivate patients through challenges and celebrate their progress to maximize their functional outcomes.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care and improve overall outcomes.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans to ensure compliance and continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with individuals recovering from orthopedic conditions, including post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, chronic pain management, and mobility challenges. Your compassionate approach will play a crucial role in instilling hope and confidence in your patients as they navigate their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• A clean professional record without any disciplinary actions taken against your license.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and a passion for providing quality care.
• Demonstrated competency in developing and implementing customized exercise therapy programs.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software, particularly WebPT, is highly desirable.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is preferred to enhance patient care delivery.
• Familiarity with contemporary rehabilitation techniques and emerging trends in physical therapy.
• Previous roles that included patient education on wellness and prevention strategies are a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
