Work Environment

Located in the vibrant city of Charlottesville, Virginia, our practice operates in an onsite rehabilitation facility that prioritizes patient care and therapeutic innovation. As part of a small but dynamic team comprising two physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA), you will collaborate closely with your colleagues to create customized treatment plans that address each patient's unique needs. The work schedule is structured from Monday to Friday, with hours from 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a balanced work-life integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to identify patient needs and set clear treatment objectives tailored to individual requirements.
• Manage a caseload of one patient per hour, ensuring each session is spent providing focused, personalized treatment.
• Utilize a variety of cost-effective, evidence-based treatment methods to enhance patients' range of motion and mobility.
• Focus on non-surgical interventions to reduce reliance on medications, guiding patients toward optimal recovery.
• Develop comprehensive care plans that incorporate various modalities, exercise programs, and therapeutic techniques.
• Tailor wellness and fitness regimens for patients, promoting long-term health and preventative care.
• Motivate and encourage patients throughout the treatment process, empowering them to take charge of their recovery.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care and treatment success.
• Track patient progress via ongoing assessments and adjust treatment plans as necessary to meet pre-defined objectives.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of all patient interactions, progress notes, and care provided according to best practices.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution is required.
• Must possess a valid Virginia license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• Maintain a clean professional record with no history of disciplinary actions against your license.
• Demonstrated competency in manual therapy techniques, emphasizing hands-on treatment approaches.
• Strong skills in developing and executing individualized exercise protocols tailored to patient needs.
• Familiarity with WebPT EMR software for efficient patient management and documentation is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in orthopedic outpatient settings or related environments is highly desirable.
• Previous knowledge of sports medicine practices would be advantageous.
• A proven track record of effectively managing and treating a variety of musculoskeletal conditions.

Compensation and Benefits

The expected salary range for this position is competitive, falling between USD 80,000 and 100,000 annually, supplemented by a comprehensive benefits package. This includes health insurance, paid time off, retirement savings plans, and an emphasis on professional development.
