Cardiovascular Technician - CATH LAB - Mon Medical Center Main Campus

Job Summary

Performs radiographic and invasive cardiac procedures in the area of Special Procedures under the direction of a physician, utilizing ionizing radiation and other diagnostic methods and assisting physician as required. Also responsible for monitoring, circulating and processing all documentation.

Responsibilities

Always stays until procedures are completed and cleaned up. Consistently demonstrates proficiency/accuracy in performing all techniques and examines. Always utilizes proper technique for holding pressure. Demonstrates the ability to perform work in an accurate manner in emergency situations. Demonstrates general knowledge of vascular anatomy. Anticipates needs of the Radiologists/Cardiologist and prepares accordingly. Consistently meets needs of physician, as per feedback. Is well-organized, as exemplified by always presenting a neat tray. Assists in training of new technologists. Performs on-call responsibilities.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

1-2 years in patient care experience preferred.

• High School Diploma or GED (Required)
