Accounts Payable Coordinator

The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) is looking for an Accounts Payable Coordinator to join our Finance & Accounting team in Virginia Beach. In this role, you'll help ensure that invoices are processed accurately, vendors are paid timely, and financial records are maintained with care and integrity. Serving in this position facilitates ministry activities and contributes to CBN's Biblical mission to advance the Gospel of Jesus Christ worldwide. The salary range for this position is $38,000 - $42,000 annually. Final compensation within this range will be determined based on a combination of education, relevant experience, and demonstrated skills aligned with the role requirements. What You'll Do You'll play an important role in the day-to-day operations of CBN's Finance & Accounting team, including processing vendor invoices and payments, maintaining accurate financial information, responding to vendor and internal inquiries, and helping ensure accounts payable procedures and internal controls are followed. You'll work with both internal teams and external vendors, so strong communication, organization, and customer service skills are important. What You'll Bring 2+ years of accounts payable or related accounting experience Working knowledge of accounts payable processes, procedures, and internal controls Understanding of basic accounting principles and best practices Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (sorting formulas, and data management), and the ability to learn new financial systems Experience with ERP systems (Epicor or similar) Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in data entry and financial processing Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with internal staff and external vendors Strong customer service orientation with a collaborative and solutions-focused approach Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team Flexible with ability to work well under pressure and consistently meet deadlines Demonstrated life application of Biblical principles and practices in alignment with CBN's non-profit Christian mission Why Work at CBN At CBN, your work supports a global ministry and contributes to the mission of advancing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
