Work Environment\n

This role is set in a climate-controlled office environment, where you will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team that includes physicians, counselors, and other healthcare providers. The remote work setting allows for flexibility; however, there will be opportunities for in-person collaboration at our detox center in Springfield. This position emphasizes a collegial atmosphere with daily interactions aimed at addressing the mental health needs of our patients effectively.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and diagnoses of patients' mental health status utilizing appropriate tools such as the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM), establishing comprehensive, individualized treatment plans that incorporate cultural diversity and specific patient needs.

• Regularly evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment strategies and interventions to effectively support mental health outcomes.

• Document all treatment records, reports, and clinical information accurately and in a timely manner using modern technology, ensuring compliance with both regulatory requirements and department protocols.

• Develop collaborative treatment plans with patients and their families, balancing clinical insights with patient preferences to optimize care pathways and desired health outcomes.

• Initiate and coordinate referrals, acting as a vital link between patients and various treatment services, while nurturing relationships with other clinicians and community resources.

• Provide direction and mentorship to students, interns, and volunteers, contributing to clinical education and fostering a culture of learning.

• Engage in peer review and clinical collaboration, as directed by your clinical supervisor, to enhance professional development and support team cohesion.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work primarily with individuals and families coping with the complexities of a cancer diagnosis and other mental health challenges. You will apply evidence-based therapeutic approaches tailored to meet the specific needs of these populations, addressing not only psychological concerns but also the social and emotional aspects tied to their diagnoses.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Possession of a valid and unrestricted state license as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW).
