ELEMENTARY ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL

Posting: AP7728 Location: Firgrove Elementary Position: Elementary Assistant Principal FTE: 1.0 Rate: See Salary Schedule Calendar: 258-Day Overview The Elementary Assistant Principal will maintain overall school site operations, enforce district and state policies, ensure a safe environment, coordinate site activities, communicate information to staff, and address situations, problems, or conflicts. Job Responsibilities Provides instructional leadership and professional development to all staff members. Assists the principal in developing a positive, effective learning climate. Assists in maintaining student discipline and handles special cases as necessary. Assists with the evaluation of certificated staff members. Works on committees pertinent to the operation of the district. Supervises the reporting and monitoring of student attendance and works with the principal for investigative follow‑up actions. Works with faculty in compiling the annual budget requests. Qualifications Master’s degree required with a major in educational administration or an appropriate related field. At least three years of successful experience as a classroom teacher. A valid state certificate to practice as a school administrator. Pay and Benefits Base pay: See Salary Schedule.
