Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough patient assessments to establish individualized care plans that align with patient goals and needs.
• Designing and implementing effective treatment strategies and exercise programs that promote healing and restoration of function.
• Using a variety of therapeutic modalities, such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and patient education to maximize treatment effectiveness.
• Monitoring and modifying treatments in response to patient progress and challenges, ensuring a responsive and adaptable approach.
• Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to formulate and execute comprehensive treatment plans.
• Educating patients about their conditions, recommended interventions, and lifestyle modifications to enhance recovery.
• Providing motivation and emotional support to patients as they navigate their rehabilitation process, fostering a positive healing environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients with orthopedic injuries, including those recovering from surgery, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. You will have the privilege of working with diverse client profiles, tailoring interventions to the unique needs of each individual to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution. A Master's Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• An active state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in orthopedic rehabilitation, demonstrating competency in treating a variety of musculoskeletal conditions.
• Proven skills in patient assessment, treatment planning, and the execution of effective rehabilitation interventions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to engage effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Capacity to adapt to various patient personalities and needs, facilitating a customized therapeutic experience.

Preferred Experience

Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and familiarity with orthopedic rehabilitation protocols will be favorable. Any additional certifications associated with sports therapy, manual therapy techniques, or advanced therapeutic modalities will also be considered an asset.

Compensation and Benefits
