IT Support Technician

Eastern Staffing & Recruiting is currently looking for an IT Support Technician for our client in Binghamton, NY. The IT Support Technician will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to personnel in multiple facilities and departments. Build, configure & maintain desktops, laptops & other assets in a multi-site Windows environment. This is a contract position with the potential to be evaluated and hired on based on performance.

Responsibilities

• Build, configure & maintain laptops, PCs and other assets in a multi-site Windows environment.
• Provide training & assistance to personnel.
• Create & maintain documentation for new or existing processes and configurations.
• Effectively troubleshoot problems reported by users. Follow up with personnel to ensure issue has been resolved.
• Works with vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems.
• Optimize performance and security of assets.
• Interact with numerous computer platforms in a multi-layered client-server environment.
• Ensure computers interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems including file servers, email servers, computer conferencing systems, application servers, and administrative systems.
• Perform other tasks and work with other departments as directed by supervisors
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• A.S. in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
• 1+ years exp. in a Windows Server 2012-2019 Active Directory LAN/WAN environment
• CompTia A+ certification is a plus!
• ASCP certification is a plus!
• Equivalent combinations of certification/education/experience considered.
• Strong research & communication skills
• Effectively analyze, research and solve problems
• Ability to manage multiple changing priorities
• Strong attention to detail
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to gather data, create, compose, and edit written materials and reports
• Develop and maintain recordkeeping systems and procedures.

The estimated hourly salary range for this position is $22.00 to $25.00, though a candidate's salary will be determined on a range of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications and experience.
