Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients.

• Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to the specific needs, goals, and preferences of each client.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to deliver effective treatment.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and self-care techniques to foster understanding and empowerment.

• Monitor client progress closely, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to accommodate changes in symptoms or life circumstances.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to ensure integrated and holistic care for clients.

• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatment to enhance the effectiveness of interventions.

• Ensure all client documentation is accurate, confidential, and in compliance with applicable legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on clients experiencing mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. This includes working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those who may be facing additional challenges such as homelessness, refugee status, or domestic violence. Your empathy and understanding will be vital as you support these individuals in overcoming their struggles and building healthier futures.

Qualifications\n

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
