Workday Analyst at Confidential Washington DC

Workday Analyst We are looking for a Workday Analyst to support configuration, testing, and ongoing maintenance of Workday Financials modules. This role works closely with Accounting, Financial Reporting, and Tax teams to help ensure accurate financial processing and smooth system operations. The position is located at a client site in Reston, VA or Washington DC and operates on a hybrid model requiring 2‑3 days in the Washington DC office. Responsibilities Configure and maintain Workday Financials modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Allocations, Posting Rules, and Custom Validations. Participate in system configuration, test case development, execution, and defect tracking. Provide production support and participate in Agile delivery, using Jira for user stories, backlog management, and sprint activities. Analyze system issues, support troubleshooting efforts, and assist with root cause analysis. Communicate effectively with finance and business stakeholders; produce clear documentation for configuration changes, testing results, and audit support. Qualifications Five or more years of hands‑on experience configuring Workday Financials. Solid understanding of core accounting principles, including journal entries, reconciliations, and subledger‑to‑GL posting flows. Experience supporting end‑to‑end testing activities. Working knowledge of Agile delivery practices and Jira. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Workday Financials training or certifications are a plus, but not required. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related discipline. Compensation Compensation range for this role in the U.S. is $83,800.00 ‑ $121,200.00.
