Build the Future of Manufacturing as a Test Technician

Location: Richardson, TX

Payrate and shift: 1st shift - $26/hour, 2nd shift - $28.60/hour

Are you a hands-on problem solver with experience in electronics, testing, and manufacturing? PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Test Technician to support a leader in the manufacturing industry. In this role, you’ll assemble, test, troubleshoot, and inspect products to ensure they meet quality and performance standards.

Your skills will directly support the production of reliable, high-quality products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do

• Perform manual assembly, automated assembly operations, hand soldering, and product inspections.

• Set up, operate, and adjust test equipment and auxiliary systems.

• Perform electronic and functional testing using automated and manual diagnostic tools.

• Troubleshoot product issues and identify defects down to the component level.

• Read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, and technical documentation.

• Inspect products using visual, electronic, and mechanical inspection methods.

• Support machine setups, production line changes, and basic preventative maintenance.

• Communicate issues and recommend improvements to enhance quality and efficiency.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing, electronics, assembly, or testing environment.

• Ability to troubleshoot electronic components and identify process issues.

• Ability to read schematics, assembly drawings, and technical documents.

• Knowledge of product quality standards, soldering requirements, and manufacturing processes.

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work in a team-focused production environment.

• Interviews required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Linux Operating System (OS).

• Experience with electronic test equipment and diagnostic programs.

• Knowledge of manufacturing information systems.

• Experience supporting automated assembly equipment.

Work Environment

This position is performed in a manufacturing environment and may require:

• Extended periods of sitting or standing.

• Repetitive hand motions requiring strong dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

• Use of tools, equipment, and production systems.

• Occasional lifting and handling of materials.

Pay Details: $26.00 to $28.60 per hour
