Ryder's Rental Management Trainee Program

Location: Onsite – Santa Fe Springs, CA. Schedule: Monday – Friday, during business hours. Employment Type: Full-Time. About This Opportunity We are looking for a driven, ambitious professional to fast‑track into a management role as a Rental Management Trainee. The 18–24 month accelerated development program covers Finance, Operations, Human Resources, Sales & Marketing, Customer Relationship Management, and Compliance & Regulatory. What You’ll Experience Finance – Understand P&L drivers behind a high‑performing rental operation Operations – Manage rental assets, vehicle PM standards, and day‑to‑day location performance Sales & Marketing – Drive revenue through inbound sales, outbound solicitation, and lead generation for rental, lease, and used vehicle sales Human Resources – Learn how to build, develop, and lead a team Customer Relationship Management – Resolve customer concerns and grow a loyal customer base Compliance & Regulatory – Ensure alignment with company, local, state, and federal requirements Essential Functions Handle the sales process for inbound calls as well as outbound solicitation Maintain current and accurate data within the company’s marketing database Generate rental, lease, and used vehicle sales leads Manage all rental asset processes, including vehicle PM and cleanliness standards Execute sales and marketing initiatives to meet overall market share goals Maintain compliance with company, local, state, federal, and other regulatory agencies Reconcile customer concerns, issues, and disputes to maintain relationships and grow the customer base Additional Responsibilities On a voluntary basis as well as based on scheduling, serve as On‑Call Representative per supervisor’s schedule Perform other duties as assigned Skills and Abilities Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills and adaptability to a fast‑paced environment High energy, self‑motivated, self‑directed with ability to focus on multiple projects Professional relationship building at all organization levels Ability to work independently and in a team Detail oriented with strong follow‑up practices High common sense and aptitude to learn quickly Willingness to relocate within the region/US at program completion Computer literate – intermediate proficiency required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field One year or more of customer service with issue resolution experience preferred Computer literacy, intermediate level required No travel required; DOT regulated ineligibility Compensation Pay Type: Salaried. Minimum Pay Range: $50,000 – $51,000 per year.
