Senior Accountant

Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Senior Accountant to join a large enterprise finance team. This individual will play a critical role in leading the month-end close process, supporting financial reporting, and ensuring the accuracy of the general ledger in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. The ideal candidate thrives under pressure, possesses exceptional analytical skills, and is highly proficient in Excel, as approximately 85% of the role will involve financial analysis, reconciliations, and reporting. This position will also provide guidance to Staff Accountants throughout the close process and support audit and quarterly reporting activities. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate month-end close activities within a highly compressed 6-business-day close cycle Review and prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting schedules Guide and support Staff Accountants throughout the close process and ensure deadlines are met Analyze financial data, research variances, and resolve accounting discrepancies Utilize advanced Excel skills to reconcile and analyze large data sets Work within legacy systems and support manual accounting processes to ensure reporting accuracy Assist with quarterly reporting and internal/external audit requests Support ad hoc accounting projects and process improvement initiatives Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
