The Purchasing Manager will lead procurement activities for direct materials, capital equipment, and a mixed portfolio of goods and services. As an individual contributor, this role will use the ERP purchasing module to drive cost savings, supplier reliability, inventory availability, and process compliance while managing supplier and purchasing activities with no travel required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies for direct materials, capital equipment, and a mixed procurement portfolio.
• Manage supplier relationships and evaluate vendor performance, reliability, and compliance.
• Plan purchases to support inventory availability and operational needs.
• Negotiate contracts and purchasing terms to achieve cost savings.
• Coordinate inventory requirements and purchasing activities.
• Analyze costs and organizational spend to identify savings opportunities.
• Manage purchase orders and order fulfillment through the ERP purchasing module.
• Prepare spend reports and oversee procurement process compliance.

Required Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of experience in procurement management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management.
• Contract negotiation and spend analysis skills.
• Inventory management experience.
• Proficiency with procurement software and ERP purchasing modules.
• Demonstrated cost-reduction experience.
• Strong communication, analytical thinking, and negotiation skills.
