About the Position

Job Opportunity – Critical Care Float Pool RN – Ohio

Start Date: November 30, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 3x12 hour shifts, Night shift, minimum every other weekend

Highlights:

• Float to a variety of ICU settings including Neuro ICU, Surgical ICU, Medical ICU, CVICU, Cardiology/Diagnostics units based on patient acuity and staffing needs
• Work with advanced patient populations including transplant patients (kidney, liver, lung, heart)
• Epic charting system used facility-wide
• Contract must extend through January 2, 2027
• Float within units of equivalent or lower acuity based on established protocols
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, physical therapy, and more

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Demonstrated competency in IV starts, telemetry interpretation, and ventilator management
• Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred
• Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license in hand at time of application)
• Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Two professional references required (at least one from a manager, director, or formal supervisor)
• Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting process promptly upon contract signing
