Make a meaningful impact by providing specialized support to K-12 students with significant needs. This contract opportunity seeks experienced professionals to conduct comprehensive psychological testing and assessment for students with intense disabilities, including those who are non-verbal, physically impaired, or use assistive technology for communication. Serving students across multiple school sites near Overland Park, KS, you’ll have the chance to work closely with multidisciplinary teams, advocating for individualized support and educational success.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist certification and licensure as required by the state of Kansas
- Experience evaluating and supporting students with moderate-to-severe disabilities
- Knowledgeable in the use of assistive technology (AT) devices for student communication
- Strong assessment, evaluation, and report-writing skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with special education staff, families, and related service providers
- Willingness and flexibility to travel between campuses as needed
- Previous experience within a K-12 educational setting preferred
- Compassion, patience, and dedication to serving diverse learner needs
Responsibilities:
- Conduct cognitive, social, emotional, behavioral, and adaptive assessments as part of multidisciplinary teams
- Administer and interpret standardized and non-standardized tests for students with complex needs
- Provide clear, actionable reports and recommendations for IEP team deliberations
- Collaborate with special education teams and assist in developing data-driven interventions
- Communicate assessment results and recommendations to families and staff
- Maintain documentation and uphold all federal, state, and district compliance requirements
- May involve flexible scheduling to accommodate assessments at multiple campuses
