Logistics SpecialistLocation: CA 94080 (100% Fully Onsite) Pay rate: Target $33.00 – $33.80/hr Work schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST (40.0 hours/week) 1-year contract assignment: 10/05/2026 – 10/01/2027 with extension potential based on performance and budgetOverview The Logistics Specialist manages end-to-end material distribution, hazardous material handling, clinical drug product shipping/receiving, and inventory control operations. Located 100% onsite at the South San Francisco campus, this role is responsible for picking, packing, and shipping clinical finished drug products domestically and internationally, operating material-handling equipment, conducting inventory cycle counts, processing expired products for destruction, and utilizing RF scanners and internal ERP/warehouse databases.Job SpecificationsProcess and ship hazardous materials, R&D materials, product samples, and clinical finished drug products to domestic and international destinationsReceive and dispense finished goods, Work-in-Progress (WIP) inventory, and packaging components to/from manufacturing unitsPerform physical inventory cycle counts, data reconciliation, and database management using RF scanners and inventory softwareProcess rejected, returned, or expired drug products for destruction and schedule activities with approved destruction sitesMaintain warehouse space, safety standards, and equipment; safely operate powered material-handling equipmentMaintain, follow, and recommend updates to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and corporate document retention policiesHigh School Diploma with 0 to 5 years of relevant warehouse, logistics, or inventory control experience requiredIATA certification and experience handling international shipping documentation strongly preferredMust be eligible to meet TSA background check requirements and successfully complete the Certified Cargo Screening Program (CCSP)Prior experience operating warehouse material-handling equipment preferredStrong attention to detail, organizational skills, and verbal/written communication abilities requiredAbility to work occasional overtime as neededPhysical capability to stand, walk, operate equipment, and lift up to 50 lbs unassisted requiredSubmittal & Interview RequirementsCandidate must be submitted under Non-Payroll in Fieldglass (clean text/resume; no supplier logos)Confirmed candidate availability for a single In-Person Interview at the South San Francisco campusRehire Eligibility Check: Candidates with prior Genentech/Roche tenure must be vetted via NAMBOX prior to submissionShortlisting Date: Morning of 09/28/2026Benefits: Health insurance Health savings account Dental insurance Vision insurance Flexible spending accounts Life insurance Retirement plan All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.We also consider qualified applicants regardless of criminal histories, consistent with legal requirements.
