Payroll Specialist - This is a great opportunity for a payroll professional who is confident working independently and can step in and make an immediate impact.

$18/hr.

M-F 8am-4pm

Work remotely two days a week.

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist. This role requires someone who can independently manage full-cycle payroll, ensure compliance, and meet strict deadlines with a high level of accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Process full-cycle, biweekly payroll for 200+ employees across multiple states
• Manage timecards, audits, overtime calculations, and payroll adjustments
• Handle payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries
• Maintain and update payroll data within HRIS/payroll systems
• Generate and review payroll reports to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Process garnishments, benefit deductions, and 401(k) contributions

Required Qualifications (Please do not apply if you do not meet these requirements)

• 2+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience (full-cycle required)
• Experience processing payroll for 200+ employees in a multi-state environment
• Proficiency with payroll/HRIS systems (Paycom, ADP, Paycor, Gusto, or similar)
• Ability to manage payroll deadlines independently
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Paycom
• Experience in nonprofit or multi-location organizations
• Background supporting payroll audits or reconciliations
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
