Graduate Intern - Statistical Analyst

Responsibilities This is a full-time summer internship opportunity. The graduate intern will assist the Business Intelligence Research Team with data analysis. The graduate intern will apply advanced mathematics, statistics, and programming (R, Python, SAS) to real-world problems related to passenger/travel behavior and other airport-related data. The Business Intelligence Department is a team of high-performance problem-solvers focused on creating a decision‑making culture informed by insights to drive action. The BI Department is an enterprise support group, constantly challenged to work with a wide spectrum of complex data spanning the Port’s aviation, maritime, and support service divisions. We want our data to tell a clear story. Throughout your internship experience, you will drive relevant analytical projects to solve real‑world business challenges. As a key member of the Business Intelligence Department, you will gain insights into the key functions of your team as it relates to the Port’s broader analytics and research strategy and vision. Analyze complex internal and external data using SEM (Structural Equation Modeling), HLM (Hierarchical Linear Modeling), Cluster analysis, Factor analysis, and other types of analyses. Clearly present findings and recommendations to decision makers at various levels of the organization, leveraging data visualization and storytelling best practices. Qualifications You must be currently enrolled in a Master’s program or a recent graduate (within 1 year of graduation) in a degree program such as business analytics, data science, statistics, information management, or a related discipline.
