Work Environment

This is an onsite position, wherein the Physician Assistant will work directly within the hospital setting in Miramar Beach. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm, encompassing both outpatient and inpatient care. You will collaborate closely with a highly skilled medical team, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure seamless patient care and facilitate continuity in treatment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive and problem-focused physical examinations, assessing both the physical and mental health of patients to aid in accurate diagnosis.
• Order, collect, interpret, and evaluate laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging to assess patient healthcare needs effectively.
• Prescribe medications and recommend therapeutic treatments in line with established protocols, ensuring safety and efficacy in all patient prescriptions.
• Develop and implement individualized, outcomes-based treatment plans in partnership with physicians, regularly reviewing and adjusting plans based on patient progress.
• Provide thorough counseling to patients and their families on various medical processes, health management strategies, and medication regimens, including potential side effects and dietary interactions.
• Maintain detailed records of patient interactions, treatment plans, and outcomes; ensure timely referrals to specialists when necessary.
• Perform necessary invasive procedures aligned with your scope of practice, under the supervision of an attending physician.
• Participate actively in departmental meetings, case discussions, and continuing education to enhance professional development and improve patient care quality.
• Be prepared to address patient care needs beyond the standard schedule if additional coverage is required to meet the demands of the clinic.

Compensation and Benefits

Silver Cross Family Hospital offers a competitive salary that ranges from $140,000 to $180,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
