Travel RN Job Details

Labor & Delivery RN Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Massachusetts
• At least 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Demonstrated ability to provide safe, compassionate care in a fast-paced maternal-child healthcare setting
• Availability to work 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend
• Strong maternal and fetal assessment, communication, organization, and clinical documentation skills
• Successful completion of required credentialing and travel nursing assignment documentation

Travel Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive obstetric nursing care throughout labor, delivery, and the postpartum recovery period
• Perform ongoing maternal and fetal assessments and promptly communicate changes in patient condition
• Monitor patients during labor and support safe delivery practices in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team
• Administer medications and treatments according to established orders, policies, and standards of care
• Educate and support patients and families throughout the childbirth experience
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and participate in handoffs and care coordination
• Respond effectively to urgent and changing clinical situations while promoting patient safety and quality outcomes
