Neuro ICU Team Lead / Charge Nurse - $36-58 per hour

Neuro ICU Charge Nurse (RN) – Nights – Valley Park, Missouri Staff, ongoing employment. Position Highlights Great Leadership Opportunity! $15,000 sign‑on bonus eligible 12‑hour night shifts (7p.m.–7a.m.) Weekend requirement: every 3rd weekend 2+ years RN experience required; ICU experience preferred Benefit eligible first day of month after hiring 401(k) with match Safety‑sensitive position – constant alertness required Responsibilities Plan, direct, and coordinate unit activities during the shift. Perform direct patient care as needed and serve as clinical resource to nursing and support staff. Assess, plan, evaluate, and document nursing processes for the unit. Identify and resolve gaps in care from hospitalization, at discharge, and into the ambulatory care setting. Critically assess patient data to mitigate imminent changes in condition and establish consults to the interprofessional team when appropriate. Lead development and implementation of complex individual care plans with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team, patients, families or caregivers, and according to established guidelines and standards of nursing care. Apply expert holistic clinical knowledge to anticipate and prioritize complex care needs, anticipate barriers, incorporate interprofessional and family input, and identify opportunities to improve patient outcomes. Champion evidence‑based practice by participating in journal club, facilitating practice change, recommending new standards of care, conducting literature searches to support unit or organizational goals, and disseminating new knowledge. Explore opportunities to advance nursing practice, including community service events, patient/family education groups, advisory boards, adjunct faculty roles, and specialty organization leadership. Analyze gaps in practice standards and provide feedback to peers in collaboration with leadership to enhance safe patient care. Lead evaluation of patient and family experience and adjust care to improve satisfaction and quality of care. Minimum Requirements Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing. Experience: 2–5 years RN; 0–2 years ICU experience (preferred). Licenses & Certifications: Current RN license. Supervisor Experience: None. Preferred Requirements Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Experience: 5–10 years RN (or ICU).
