Job Description As a Security Officer for Park and Cemetery in Whittier, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Officer at a respected cultural institution, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $21.31 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon10:00 PM - 06:30 AMTue10:00 PM - 06:30 AMWed10:00 PM - 06:30 AMThur10:00 PM - 06:30 AMFri10:00 PM - 06:30 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, guests, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities in a respectful and professional manner. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or public emergency services when needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the grounds, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and/or conditions that may require attention. Monitor access points and visitor activity to help support orderly operations during services, events, and daily visitation, while offering directions and general assistance as appropriate. Complete routine reports and pass-down communication regarding patrol findings, incidents, and/or maintenance concerns to help support ongoing awareness at the location. Minimum Requirements: Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience. Possession of a guard card and/or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
