NWS Office Assistant- College of Undergraduate Studies Overview Position Type Part Time Category Student NWS Office Assistant This position is only open to current Pacific University College of Undergraduate Studies students who qualify for federal work study funding for the 2026-2027 Fall and Spring terms and who have already met with the faculty or staff of the College of Undergraduate Studies. Title: NWS – Office Assistant Department and Location: College of Undergraduate Studies Dean's Office, Forest Grove Campus Purpose: Provide general office and administrative support to the staff and faculty. Wage: $16.80 per hour Employee Classification: Non-exempt Length of Employment: Fall and/or Spring Semesters

• Checking out/in assessment tools and equipment
• Copying and scanning
• Greeting guests and students
• Taking inventory of assessment tools, equipment, and/or classroom supplies
• Tidying up classrooms, group study rooms, and the employee lounge
• Typing projects in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• Unlocking lockers, labs, and classrooms
• Assisting faculty and teaching assistants with classroom/lab set up and clean up
• Assisting faculty with research projects
• Other duties as assigned
• This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities
• Pacific University undergraduate student
• Qualifies for federal work study funding for the 2026-2027 academic year
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
• Able to manage and maintain sensitive and confidential information, ensuring it is handled securely and in compliance with FERPA regulations and Pacific University’s policies and procedures
• Possesses good oral and written communication skills, and excellent customer service skills including the ability to work with diverse populations of students, staff, faculty, and community members
• Self-motivated
• Serves as an information source to students, staff, faculty, and community members
