Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care for an assigned ER patient population per the nursing process and established standards.
- Perform rapid initial assessment, triage, continuous monitoring of vital signs, data interpretation, and timely response to clinical changes.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, wound care, and procedural interventions in accordance with orders and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, radiology, and ancillary staff to coordinate timely care and disposition.
- Supervise and direct nursing technicians and other support staff; delegate tasks while maintaining accountability.
- Document care accurately in the electronic health record; ensure proper charting, regulatory compliance, and patient privacy.
- Provide patient and family education, discharge planning, and referrals to community resources as appropriate.
- Uphold infection control practices, patient safety standards, and advocacy for patients and families.

Requirements
- Current California RN license or eligibility to obtain CA licensure
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
- 1+ year ER or acute care nursing experience
- Ability to work 12-hour nights in a fast-paced ER environment
- Willingness to travel for a 13-week assignment
