About The Role WorkWell NYCseeksan independent and highly motivated Special ProjectsFellowto providesupport for a variety of worksite wellness initiatives that aim to improve the health and well-being of City of New York employees.WorkWellNYC Special ProjectsFellowwill support strategic goalsthatWorkWellNYC has setby working on variousprojectunder the supervision of the Program Directorand Assistant Commissioner. About the Program WorkWell NYC (WWNYC) is an innovative workplace wellness team servicing over 350,000 City of New York employees. WorkWell NYC supports agencies to develop workplace-based programming and innovative, sustainable workplace wellness infrastructure. WorkWell NYC offers Citywide programming in person and digitally - live and on-demand - in five areas: prevention and chronic conditions, physical fitness, mental well-being, nutrition, and health equity. Responsibilities Projects andresponsibilitieswill include: Assistwith the development of innovative programming such as events for the 10thanniversary of WorkWell NYC Research vendors, event spaces, etc. Draft program planning documents such asobjectives, evaluation measures/surveys, workplans, marketing materials, etc. Assistwith implementation and staffing of events/initiatives Assistwith the development and mappingofdata analytics and customer relationship management tools and implementation Conduct research to support reaching new populationsand providingresponsive programming Reach out to stakeholders togather informationand schedule meetings(i.e.informal inquiries, focus groups, etc.) Draft communications to share information with stakeholders (i.e.emails, flyers,presentations,etc.) Attend staff meetings and other WorkWellNYCmeetings as requested by their supervisor Other duties as assigned to support the overall goals and mission of the department/ organization. Requirements Possess strong skills inproject andtime management, verbaland written communicationand organizational skills. ProficiencyinMicrosoftOffice, Canva,AirtableandSalesforce Displaya capacity for critical, independent, and creative thinking. Be a highly motivated self-starter who is flexible and able to balance multiple assignments with deadlines Previousexperience withresearch,outreachand program development Previousexperience withhealth and wellness promotionprograms Able toparticipatein externalworkplace-based health forums (i.e., health fairs, educational programs)throughout NYCto promote and/or evaluateWorkWellNYC programs Previousexperience with the City of New York Graduatestudent (preferred) inpublic health, health promotion,health administration,sociology, organizational development, social work,community organizingorotherrelated field Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods of time.Reasonable accommodations will be made for qualified individuals with disabilities.
