Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a positive impact on students’ lives as a full-time Speech Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 academic year. Serve Pre K through 12th-grade learners on a manageable caseload, and collaborate with dedicated school professionals in an engaging, supportive environment. This contract position runs from August 2026 through May 2027.

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

• Valid Speech Language Pathologist certificate from ALSDE
• Successful completion of an ALSDE background check before start date
• Previous experience working with Pre K–12 students is highly valued
• Solid understanding of school-based IEP procedures and best practices
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt evaluation and therapy approaches to meet diverse student needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of approximately 40 students, providing direct and consultative speech-language therapy services
• Conduct assessments to identify speech, language, and communication challenges
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals
• Collaborate with special education staff, classroom teachers, and families
• Participate in IEP meetings and support teams through documentation and progress reporting
• Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment that promotes student growth and participation
