Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting students in a Pre K through 12th grade environment near Pelham, AL. This full-time position runs from August 2026 through May 2027, offering a chance to make a significant impact on young learners’ communication abilities. With a manageable caseload of approximately 40 students, you’ll be able to provide meaningful attention and support to each individual.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active ALSDE Speech Language Pathologist certificate required
• Background check clearance through ALSDE mandatory
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
• Strong communication, documentation, and organization skills
• Experience working in school settings with a diverse age group preferred
• Dedication to collaborative, student-centered practices

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders among Pre K-12th grade students
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in consultation with educators and families
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school and district policies
• Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions tailored to meet each student’s unique needs
• Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary collaborations, and school-wide initiatives
• Educate and support teachers and parents on communication strategies to reinforce progress
