Litigation Paralegal – Complex Litigation (Hybrid | Chicago, IL)

A well‑regarded boutique litigation firm in Chicago is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys in sophisticated, complex litigation matters. This role is ideal for a detail‑oriented paralegal with meaningful trial experience who thrives in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide full‑cycle paralegal support on complex litigation matters from inception through trial and post‑trial
• Draft, review, and manage pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and related correspondence
• Coordinate all aspects of discovery, including document collection, review, production, and e‑discovery platforms
• Prepare deposition and trial materials, including exhibits, witness binders, demonstratives, and trial notebooks
• Assist attorneys during trials, hearings, depositions, and mediations, including in‑court or remote trial support as needed
• Manage case files, deadlines, and docketing in collaboration with attorneys
• Cite‑check and fact‑check briefs and filings
• Communicate with courts, clients, opposing counsel, vendors, and experts
• Maintain strict confidentiality and adherence to ethical and firm standards

Qualifications

• 2+ years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm setting
• Complex litigation experience required; trial support experience strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures, court rules, and discovery processes
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal technology platforms, including e‑discovery tools
• DISCO experience preferred
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a small, team‑oriented firm

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $80,000–$125,000, dependent on experience
• Bonus: Discretionary
