POSITION SUMMARY

Under direct supervision, performs instructional duties and provides support services to teachers and students. Serves in a position where a teacher or other professional staff member has ultimate responsibility for designing and implementing educational programs and services. Assists with classroom instruction, student supervision, assessment administration, and classroom management to support student achievement and maintain a positive learning environment. Qualifications Education & Certification: Valid Educational Aide Certificate as required by the State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC). Minimum Requirements (one of the following): Completion of at least 48 semester hours of college coursework from an accredited institution; Associate's degree or higher; or Successful completion of a state‑approved assessment (e.g., THEA/TASP or equivalent) that demonstrates the ability to assist in instruction in reading, writing, and mathematics.
