3rd Grade Bilingual Teacher, Elementary (2026-2027 School Year) Job Title: Elementary School Teacher, 3rd Grade Bilingual (2026-2027 School Year) Salary: $62,750 (Based on 25-26 Pay Scale) Exempt, Teacher Salary Scale Primary Purpose: The Elementary School Teacher is responsible for implementing the District’s instructional program and educational philosophy in the subject area or grade level designated in accordance with District goals, policies and procedures. The Elementary School/Middle School Teacher collaborates with other members of the school community to prepare students to increase their academic performance to meet state standards. All employees are expected to act with integrity, support organizational goals, communicate respectfully, champion student needs, and drive continuous improvement. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited College or University Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level assigned At least one year of student teaching or approved internship Reading Certification for teachers applying to teach K-3 students or currently enrolled Preferred: Five years of successful classroom experience; Reading Certification for Pre‑k, Grade 4, and Grade 5 Special Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of subjects assigned General knowledge of curriculum and instruction Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Major Responsibilities and Duties: Teach in accordance with staff assignment, employing effective teaching practices. Develop and complete lesson plans with immediate and long‑range goals, using appropriate materials and activities. Present subject matter clearly and interestingly, coordinating with team members and the librarian as needed. Create a conducive learning environment and manage classroom procedures, implementing positive discipline techniques. Cooperate with school personnel to support student welfare, supervise behavior and safety during classes and related activities. Work with counselors, administrators, parents, and staff to place students in effective educational settings and conduct school safety procedures. Initiate and maintain communication with parents, informing them about programs and progress, and alerting them if problems arise. Maintain accurate records for student evaluation, attendance, textbooks, materials, funds, parent contacts, conferences, disciplinary measures, and referrals; meet required record‑keeping deadlines. Exemplify professionalism, collaborate with staff and administrators, and seek professional development to remain current in education and subject areas. Adhere to Texas Education Code of Ethics and the District’s philosophy, and report to work daily as scheduled. Perform additional duties as assigned. Working Conditions: Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and moving small stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom or adaptive equipment.
