Accounts Receivable SpecialistLocation: Kalamazoo, MI Salary: $45,000 – $55,000Our client, an expanding company in the Kalamazoo area, is looking to bring on an Accounts Receivable Specialist to support their accounting operations. This position is a great fit for someone who is highly organized, detail-focused, and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-moving environment. The role is essential in maintaining accurate customer accounts and supporting overall cash flow.Position SummaryThe Accounts Receivable Specialist will handle invoicing, payment application, collections, and account maintenance. This role interacts regularly with both internal teams and customers to ensure payments are processed promptly and discrepancies are addressed efficiently.Core ResponsibilitiesCreate and send customer invoices in a timely and accurate mannerRecord daily cash receipts and apply payments to the correct accountsReview AR aging reports and follow up on outstanding balancesCommunicate with customers regarding payment inquiries and discrepanciesInvestigate and resolve billing issues, short pays, and unapplied cashReconcile customer accounts and maintain accurate recordsAssist with month-end close tasks related to receivablesPrepare AR aging reports and summaries for leadership reviewSupport credit checks and maintain customer credit documentationEnsure adherence to company policies and internal controlsQualifications2+ years of accounts receivable or related accounting experienceKnowledge of invoicing and cash application processesProficient in Microsoft ExcelStrong communication and customer service abilitiesHigh attention to detail and accuracyAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
