Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care for adult CVOR patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures, in collaboration with surgeons and anesthesia teams.
- Assist with intraoperative duties, maintain sterile technique, and manage equipment and supplies in the CVOR suite.
- Monitor intraoperative patient status, including hemodynamics and anesthesia, and respond quickly to changes to ensure patient safety.
- Document in EPIC and manage supply usage in Omnicell; contribute to accurate handoffs and postoperative plans.
- Maintain appropriate patient ratios (1:1 where indicated) and participate in on-call coverage; float to other units if census requires.
- Support postoperative recovery and communication with patients and families as appropriate; participate in care continuity and transitions.

Requirements
- Current New York State RN license.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an associate degree.
- ACLS and BLS certifications.
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience; CVOR or perioperative setting preferred.
- Able to work in an adult CVOR environment with 1:1 patient care; flexible to float as needed.
- Willingness to participate in the stated on-call schedule and 13-week assignment.
