Whether it's harnessing fusion through the science of stars, making exponential leaps in power efficiency, or innovating medical care with a novel cancer treatment: We're turning the promise of science into reality.We're looking for candidates who are passionate about realizing our mission: A future where all people have affordable access to reliable, abundant, and environmentally friendly fusion-generated electricity.About The RoleComply with all safety policies and procedures and work to proactively promote a safe work environmentResponsible for the assembly, installation and maintenance of electromechanical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic components to specificationAssemble, install, and maintain Ultra High Vacuum systems and assembliesAssemble, install, and maintain Deionized and Soft Water systemsAssemble, install, and maintain compressed dry air systemsMaintain chilled water systemWork as part of a team on new projects: offer advice in design, selection and order of partsKeep organized documentation pertaining to equipment specifications/manuals/files and repair documentationKeep lab spaces clean and organizedRigging, lifting, and general moving of heavy and complex shaped objectsAbout YouRequired: 2-5 years of relevant experienceRequired: High school diploma or GEDPreferred: AA degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance, or other recognized qualifications gained in apprenticeship(s) or college preferredProficiency with common hand tools (wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, hammers, etc)Proficiency with common power tools (impacts, sanders, grinders, etc)Technical Experience (Equipment, tools, etc.Hands on experience in equipment maintenance and calibrationExperience with crane and forklift operationOther Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Available to work flexible and extended hours as neededAbility to multi-task and/or switch rapidly between assigned tasksAbility to work independently and as part of a collaborative teamAble to complete assigned duties with general directionAbility to learn and comply with all safety regulationsAble to work in confined spaces using appropriate safety equipmentMust be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.Physical Requirements:ClimbingOperating heavy equipmentDrivingLifting/carrying heavy items – Up to 50 lbs.Stooping/BendingPushing/pulling/dragging heavy itemsBalancing in high placesStanding for long periods of timeWorking in cramped placesWorking outside or undergroundAt TAE Technologies, we consider a wide range of factors when making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and job-related knowledge, training; licenses and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements depending on the position offered (non-Sr., Sr., Lead or Manager).
