This contract opportunity offers a part-time schedule of 2.5 days per week, with direct service to approximately 25 elementary students. The position primarily serves Thorne Elementary School within the district, with workdays following the school's operating hours of 8:35 AM to 3:38 PM.

As a valued resource, you will play a crucial role in helping students achieve their best outcomes through individualized therapy and tailored interventions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Valid Michigan licensure as an Occupational Therapist
• Prior experience in a school-based OT setting preferred
• Confident in working independently and collaboratively on a multidisciplinary team
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload of elementary-aged children

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate students for occupational therapy needs and create individualized treatment plans
• Deliver direct and consultative therapy services in accordance with IEP goals
• Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to promote student success
• Document assessments, progress, and all necessary compliance paperwork
• Support teachers with classroom modifications and adaptive strategies to accommodate students’ needs
