Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a school-based Occupational Therapist, supporting students’ growth and independence in an engaging elementary setting. This role partners closely with a supportive district and centers primarily at the elementary school level, working with a caseload of approximately 25 students. Your expertise will help shape positive outcomes for children, providing vital interventions within an educational framework.

This position offers a part-time schedule of 2.5 days per week, in alignment with the elementary school day hours of 8:35 AM – 3:38 PM—offering flexibility and work-life balance. Collaboration, compassion, and a passion for empowering young learners are at the core of this rewarding role.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Active Occupational Therapist license in Michigan (or eligibility)
• Previous experience with school-based OT services strongly preferred
• Familiarity with IEP processes, goal writing, and progress monitoring
• Strong communication and consultation skills with educators and families
• Ability to manage a caseload of up to 25 students with varying needs
• Understanding of sensory integration, fine motor, and adaptive strategies in a school context
• Commitment to fostering inclusive, student-centered learning environments

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess student needs and develop individualized intervention plans
• Provide direct and consultative OT services during school hours
• Collaborate with educational teams and participate in IEP meetings
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress records
• Support teachers with strategies for classroom accommodations and modifications
• Empower students to develop independence in daily school activities
