Role Description The Front Office Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in San Antonio, TX, responsible for ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for all patients. Day-to-day tasks include greeting and checking in patients, managing appointment scheduling and confirmations, answering and directing phone calls, and maintaining accurate patient information in the practice management system. The role also involves handling patient check-out, collecting payments, verifying basic insurance information, and coordinating follow-up visits. The Front Office Specialist works closely with clinical staff to support efficient patient flow, responds to patient inquiries with professionalism, and upholds privacy and confidentiality standards at all times. Qualifications Strong customer service and receptionist duties skills to welcome patients, manage front desk operations, and support a positive patient experience. Proficient phone etiquette and communication skills to handle incoming calls, provide information, and route messages accurately and respectfully. Experience with appointment scheduling and basic administrative tasks, including managing calendars, confirming visits, and updating patient records. Ability to use practice management or scheduling software, with strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. Excellent interpersonal skills, including professionalism, reliability, and the ability to work well with diverse patients and team members. Comfort working in a fast-paced clinical environment, with strong organizational and time-management skills. High school diploma or equivalent required; prior experience in a medical or dental front office is preferred.
