Job Description This advertisement is for a Clinical Social Worker position located at Central California Women's Facility in Chowchilla, Madera County. Under the general direction of the Senior Psychologist, Correctional Facility (Supervisor) or the Supervising Psychiatric Social Worker, the Clinical Social Worker (Health/CF) Safety conducts assessments and summarizes case information to use in diagnosis, treatment, and dispositional release. The worker diagnoses and collaborates in the formulation of a diagnosis, develops, monitors, and modifies treatment plans with the interdisciplinary team, provides assessments, group therapy, collateral conferences, and documents and evaluates patients’ progress. The Clinical Social Worker coordinates placement with community resources and with the Classification and Parole Representative. You will find additional information about the job in the Duty Statement. Compensation and Benefits This part‑time position will be working 32 hours per week. The monthly part‑time salary range for this position is $6,942.40 to $8,455.20. This classification is subject to Section 5, Hiring‑Above‑Minimum (HAM) Authorization of the California State Civil Service Pay Scales. The authorized HAM rate for this classification is P $6,942.40 – Q $8,455.20. Recruitment and Retention Bonus available for clinicians newly hired with California Correctional Health Care Services. Individuals may be eligible to receive a $10,000 one‑time recruitment and retention stipend if they remain employed with CCHCS for six months, and a monthly recruitment and retention differential during their first year (totaling $20,000) if they meet the eligibility criteria. California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation and CCHCS employees may be eligible for a $5,000 referral bonus upon selection and remaining employed with CCHCS for 90 days.
