Plan and deliver appropriate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners. Demonstrate the ability to use a wide variety of instructional strategies as supported by research and identified as current best practice. Incorporate meaningful pre and post assessment into teaching. Implement accommodations to enable individual learners to access instruction. Maintain a positive learning climate in the classroom. Implement flexible differentiated instruction to engage all learners. Engage students in taking ownership of their individual learning. Demonstrate a full knowledge of effective classroom management strategies to ensure a positive classroom environment. Maintain accurate records and meet school requirements in record keeping and written and verbal correspondence with students, parents and administration. Maintain high standards and expectations for all students. Promote an appreciation of equity and diversity in the school building. Job Requirements Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education certification in area assigned. Master’s Degree or higher preferred. Experience providing instruction in an educational setting in the content area and grade level assigned. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated competency with classroom management. Competency in Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks. At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred. Master degree preferred. Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
