HVAC Project Sales Representative

Location: Onsite in Englewood, CO

Salary: $80-100k base plus uncapped commissions

Year 1 OTE $175k+  

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Project Sales Representative to drive sales of commercial HVAC systems and lead projects from initial prospecting through to successful installation and client handover. This role combines technical knowledge of mechanical systems and building codes with strong sales, project management, and customer relationship skills to deliver profitable projects that meet performance and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and qualify commercial leads through prospecting, networking, and customer referrals.
• Conduct site visits and mechanical room assessments to evaluate system requirements, constraints, and retrofit opportunities.
• Prepare accurate proposals, estimates, and scopes of work in collaboration with estimators and engineering teams.
• Deliver persuasive sales presentations and product demonstrations to facility managers, contractors, and decision-makers.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to close profitable sales while protecting project margins.
• Coordinate project kick-off, schedule key milestones, and liaise with installation, service, and engineering teams to ensure on-time delivery.
• Ensure all designs and installations comply with applicable building codes, safety standards, and regulations.
• Manage customer relationships throughout the project lifecycle, providing regular updates and addressing concerns promptly.
• Monitor project performance and invoices, assist with change orders, and support project close-out documentation.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, and pipeline reporting; participate in business development initiatives and industry events.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of sales experience in commercial HVAC sales selling to end users. 
• Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with HVAC equipment, mechanical rooms, pipework, and controls.
• Knowledge of applicable building codes, safety standards, and permit processes for commercial HVAC installations.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer relations skills; experience delivering sales presentations and negotiating contracts.
• Comfortable performing site visits, assessments, and basic technical calculations to inform proposals.
• Proficient with CRM systems, estimating tools, and Microsoft Office; familiarity with HVAC software is a plus.
• Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
• Self-motivated, organized, and results-driven with a focus on meeting sales targets and delivering high-quality projects.
