Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred
• Acute care facility experience: Preferred
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification: Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required
• AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification: Required
• Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification: Required
• AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS certification: Required
• At least two years recent experience in field: Required
• Current BLS certification: Required

Responsibilities

• Delivers coordinated nursing care according to established standards of care.
• Supervises and directs the activities of assigned nursing staff.
• Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and professional judgment.
• Collects and analyzes relevant data to determine care issues.
• Develops and implements nursing care plans and evaluates patient progress.
• Collaborates with healthcare team members in providing safe and effective patient care.
• Provides learning opportunities and health information to patients and families.
• Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
