Join a company recognized for safety excellence and environmental leadership, where engineers play a visible role in shaping critical infrastructure.What you’ll do (varies by role)Engineers at Minnesota Power typically combine office and field work to support internal and external customers by:Providing engineering expertise across the project lifecycle: planning, development, design, evaluation, implementation, modification, and documentationAnalyzing operational data and system events to maintain reliability and recommend equipment/process improvementsServing as a technical consultant and advisor across departmentsLeading or supporting projects and coordinating with internal teams, consultants, vendors, and contractorsFor Engineer III/Senior levels: mentoring and training junior engineersREQUIRED EXPERIENCE:Job classification is dependent upon the level of job related experienceA Master's degree in engineering may be equivalent for up to one year of related experienceIndustrial or utility experience preferredEngineer II: Four years or more related engineering experience -OR- Two years or more related engineering experience PLUS certification as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT)Engineer III: Four years or more of related engineering experience PLUS Professional Engineer (PE) license -OR- 15 years or more related engineering experienceEngineer Senior: Eight years or more job related experience required PLUS Professional Engineer (PE) license SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:Our positions report regularly in person, and with a possible hybrid work arrangement, within the ALLETE/ Minnesota Power service territoryOur positions may be eligible for either full time and part timePossession and maintaining a valid driver's license may be required as some travel may be necessaryEngineer-in-Training or Professional Engineer license may be required Strong interpersonal and communication skills required to establish and maintain positive working relationshipsThis position may be subject to assessment of skills, job match and/or aptitudeCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:Engineer II positions: $82,000 - $102,000. Engineer III positions: $94,000 - $117,000. Engineer Senior positions: $106,000 - $133,000.Compensation offered to selected candidates will vary depending on relevant knowledge, skills, training, experience, and market conditions.
