Overview
Registered Nurse – Emergency Department, Utica, New York. Start date: November 30, 2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,363-$2,397 per week. Guaranteed hours: 48 per week. Shift: 12-hour day blocks, 4 days on/4 days off (2x4). Setting: hospital-based travel assignment in an Emergency Department.

Responsibilities
- Provide ED nursing care to patients across all ages, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics, in a 64-bed ED with triage, acute care, and CDU/trauma zones
- Perform initial assessments, continuous monitoring, triage decisions, and rapid response to emergencies; administer medications, IV therapies, and airway management as needed
- Document care in EPIC EMR; collaborate with physicians, case management, and ancillary staff; coordinate transfers and discharge planning
- Manage common ED presentations (stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, respiratory failure) and use unit equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun
- Float to support other units as required; participate in charge nurse duties; maintain unit standards, including appropriate scrub color (navy)
- Adhere to patient safety, privacy, and SANE-related considerations as part of comprehensive ED care

Requirements
- Active New York RN license; Nursys license verification; RTO must be included at submission
- Current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC; TNCC must be in hand
- 2+ years of Emergency Department nursing experience; some Pediatrics experience preferred; travel experience required
- EPIC EMR experience; ability to document and coordinate rapid care in high-acuity situations
- Drivers license with address matching demographics; up-to-date resume including travel experience
- Ability to float to other ED areas as needed and to work the listed shift and unit demands
