- Make sure ingredients and final products are freshly prepared
- Follow recipes, consisting of measuring, weighing and mixing ingredients
- Bake, grill, steam food
- Occasionally serve food
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Handle and store ingredients and food safely and securely
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards
- Clean and sanitize work areas
- Perform opening and closing procedures
- Set up workstations with necessary ingredients and equipment
- Examine the quality and freshness of ingredients
- Monitor inventory levels
- Accommodate patients with dietary and dining needs
- Operate broilers, ovens, grills and fryers etc.
