About the Role We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of AI/ML-driven projects within the banking and financial services domain. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business stakeholders, data science/engineering teams, and technology leadership to ensure AI initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and in compliance with regulatory and risk requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project management for AI/ML initiatives, including fraud detection, risk modeling, credit scoring, customer analytics, chatbots/virtual assistants, and process automation solutions
• Define project scope, objectives, timelines, resource plans, and budgets in collaboration with business and technical stakeholders
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including data scientists, ML engineers, software developers, QA, and compliance/risk teams
• Translate business requirements into technical deliverables and manage the AI project lifecycle from ideation through deployment and monitoring
• Ensure AI solutions align with banking regulatory requirements (e.g., model risk management, data privacy, auditability, explainability)
• Manage project risks, dependencies, and issues; proactively identify and resolve roadblocks
• Track and report project status, KPIs, and milestones to senior leadership and stakeholders
• Facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) or manage projects using Waterfall/Hybrid methodologies as appropriate
• Collaborate with data governance and security teams to ensure responsible AI practices, data quality, and model validation
• Manage vendor and third-party relationships where applicable for AI tools, platforms, or consulting support
• Support change management and user adoption for AI-driven solutions across banking business units

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
• 6-8 years of experience in technical project management, with demonstrated experience delivering AI/ML or data-driven projects
• Prior experience working in or with the banking/financial services domain (retail banking, commercial banking, risk, compliance, or fraud)
• Strong understanding of AI/ML project lifecycles, including data preparation, model development, validation, deployment, and monitoring
• Familiarity with regulatory and compliance considerations relevant to AI in banking (e.g., model risk management, GDPR/data privacy, explainable AI)
• Proven experience managing cross-functional teams and stakeholders across business and technology functions
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or Hybrid)
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills
