Payroll Specialist

Payroll SpecialistLHH Recruitment is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist. The anticipated pay range for this role is between $30-$34 an hour.Responsibilities:Process weekly, bi-weekly, or semi-monthly payroll accurately and on time.Review and verify employee timecards, earnings, deductions, and payroll adjustments.Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.Respond to employee payroll questions and resolve discrepancies promptly.Process new hires, terminations, garnishments, direct deposits, and tax withholdings.Reconcile payroll reports and assist with month-end and year-end activities, including W-2 preparation.Partner with HR and Accounting to ensure accurate employee and payroll data.Support payroll audits and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.Qualifications:2+ years of payroll processing experience.Knowledge of payroll laws, taxes, and compliance requirements.Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, UKG, Paychex, Workday, or similar platforms.Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.CPP certification is a plus but not required.Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits, and 401K plan.
